Korean Food and Instant Pot

I usually don’t like using a lot of different cooking appliances or gadgets in cooking but Instant Pot or the Pressure Cooker is one appliance that really works well for Korean food. Because Koreans love making long simmered soups, broths and stews. I’ve also found a way to use the Instant Pot for steaming some Korean desserts which makes it even more fun.

So, if there’s one appliance I would recommend for the Korean cook to buy (after a good rice cooker) is the pressure cooker. Here’s an article about pressure cooking if you want to learn more about it.

Gamjatang (감자탕) is an intensely flavorful stew and is definitely for pork lovers.
