You know how if you are on Pinterest and you are looking at sweet treats and your mouth starts watering and you find yourself moving towards the kitchen without taking your eyes off that picture of a cookie? You know how when you open your pantry and let out a sigh of relief that you do, in fact, have a bag of chocolate chips in there? You click on the recipe and you read excitedly through the ingredients…
Eggs. Check.
Butter. Check.
Sugar. Check.
Flour. Check.
Unicorn Tears…
Darn it! I am fresh out of Unicorn Tears! So you search and search for the substitute for Unicorn Tears that will still give you the same delicious cookie without having to put on actual clothes and go out and buy that elusive ingredient that is the “secret to the best cookies you’ve ever eaten.”
These are not those cookies.
These are just your run of the mill, if you have normal ingredients in your pantry, you will be able to make something delicious in about 15 minutes kind of basic chocolate chip cookie recipe. Heck if you want to take the risk, you can be eating delicious raw egg infused chocolate chip cookie dough in about 5-7 minutes, I won’t judge!
I’m not sure where I came across this recipe, I know I was in high school, because I wrote it on a recipe card that went in my binder. This is the recipe I go to whenever I just want a cookie, and I don’t want to try something new. I always love them, everyone I give them to loves them and I may need to go make some more right now. Cookie dough at my house in 5 minutes anyone? We can all get salmonella together.
