Also, commentary link in my signature has test taker comparisons of various FLs to the real deal.

Hey mcatjelly, I was curious on how you can use the Official Guide as a half length? I remember that you posted that awhile back. I'm curious on how this works.

Well, the 120 Qs are presented in the same format as the Sample Test! So you just give yourself half time on each section and breaks.

Oh ok, thank you. You took the real MCAT already? Is it worth doing all of the Question Pack (the old Self Assessment for the old test)? I had a FL planned for tomorrow (a TPR test) but I was thinking of doing some Question pack (Self Assessment) questions because I haven't done passages for awhile and focused a lot on content in recent days. Then take my planned FL on Tuesday. My exam's is on August 6th. My plan right now was to do 2 more TPR exams then the AAMC FL and the half length about a week before the exam.

do all aamc content, i would consider taking the half length a bit earlier and the full length with more than enough time to thoroughly review it (week should be fine)

Yup! I only did the CARS Q packs which were immensely helpful, and I've heard good things about the bio packs.

I would actually take the half length right now. You really want to get a feel for the AAMC testing style as soon as possible so you can assess your strengths and weaknesses, and so when you take prep company tests that you know whether getting X or Y question right is something you should be concerned about (i.e. you know AAMC would not ask a question like that.)

Then you can take a TPR test, and then go back to AAMC FL.

Alright, I briefly looked through the book and saw how it is formatted. I think I might do that sometime in the next few days or this weekend.

Thanks!
