Disney Dreamlight Valley offers players a plethora of extensive customization options for both the exterior and interior of their homes. Players also have near complete control over decorating the Valley, including rearranging foliage, placing paths, and adding exterior objects like flower beds and statues.
When it comes to the interior, players can choose from a vast selection of over 1000 unique pieces of furniture, various wallpapers, and flooring designs to personalize their house. To further enhance their decorating experience, players can utilize the game's Touch of Magic feature, which allows them to customize individual furniture pieces using Motifs—clip art style designs that can be unlocked through gameplay.

Players are also able to upgrade their house's exterior appearance by selecting from an assortment of available skins, called Dream Styles, that can simply change the default house's color scheme or even completely overhaul its appearance. Here's everything players need to know about obtaining and applying Dream Styles to their house in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
What Are Dream Styles In Disney Dreamlight Valley
Disney Dreamlight Valley offers a variety of Dream Styles which can be applied to change the appearance of the player's home, clothing of the Valley's residents, or apply a new look to the player's trusty royal tools.
There are currently 13 Dream Styles that can be applied to the player's house. Dream Styles can be applied only to the fully upgraded house, meaning the player will have to purchase all three exterior upgrades from Scrooge McDuck.
Six of these available Dream Styles will change only the colors of the default house's appearance, Gablefront House. These customizations are automatically unlocked once the player has fully upgraded their house.
The remaining seven Dream Styles provide a complete overhaul of the house's appearance and can be unlocked only through purchasing them in the in-game Premium Item Shop using Moonstones, Disney Dreamlight Valley's paid currency. Like other Premium Item Shop items, Dream Styles are available only for a limited time as the shop's items will be replaced with a new assortment of offerings every seven days. If the player misses the opportunity to purchase the Dream Style when it is available, they will have to wait for the next time it is up for sale, which cannot be determined or guaranteed.
If the player owns one or more unique Dream Styles, excluding the Gablefront House and its color variants, they are able to place an additional player house in the Valley for each individual Dream Style owned. Each additional player house in the Valley has its own separate interior that can be customized independently of other player houses. To place an additional house, the player needs to select a new home from the Houses category in the main Furniture menu. It is important to note that the player cannot apply the same Dream Style to two houses simultaneously.
How To Customize The Player's House Exterior
To change the exterior color of the default house appearance, called the Gablefront House, or apply a Dream Style that completely overhauls the house exterior, follow these steps:
- Exit the home and open the Furniture menu using the assigned hotkey (F if using a keyboard/mouse, or accessed via the Inventory menu on consoles).
- In Furniture mode, which allows players to rearrange and place objects around the Valley, select the player house using the hand cursor (either by clicking on it or by using the Interact hotkey).
- With the house selected, a new "Replace" button will appear at the bottom right of the screen. Open the menu using the assigned hotkey show on this button.
- With the house replacement menu opened, select one of the available customizations and the house's exterior appearance will update and is ready to be placed anywhere in the Valley.

It is important to note that many of the Dream Styles which completely re-skin the player house will also change the size of the house exterior, causing it to take up more space in the Valley. Therefore, it may be necessary to remove or rearrange objects nearby to accommodate the newly styled home. The dimensions of each Dream Style are as follows:

The Gablefront House Dream Style is the default appearance of the player's home once it has been fully upgraded. The player can choose from six different exterior color options when using this style.
Beach House
The Beach House is a Premium Item Shop exclusive Dream Style that can be purchased, when available, for 3,000 Moonstones.

Mike and Sulley's Apartment
The Mike and Sulley's Apartment is a Premium Item Shop exclusive Dream Style that can be purchased, when available, for 3,000 Moonstones.
