Hi,
just updated my switch to 10.03 and atmosphere 0.12
All of the old stuff seems to work with just two issues.
When Hekate loads cfw-sysmmc works but emummc gives the error emmummc is forced but not enabled.
In emummc it shows as disabled.
Is this worth fixing and if so how?
The other issue I have is that I cant get tinfoil to install.
I get the tinfoil install icon but when I select it i get a black screen for a second and then it's back to the homebrew menu.
On the home menu I get a hbgshop icon but when I try to run it it says could not start software
I have deleted the tinfoil directory and installed new but always get the same issue.
I saw that the latest version said it didnt like Hekate so I have also tried it with the latest fusee payload but still the same issue.
Any help would be appreciated

on the Tinfoil part, i had the same issue, try to delete all tinfoil files on your sd card, then reinstall tinfoil.

Thanks for the reply. I had already deleted the tinfoil folder but that didnt seem to help.
I have gone through and deleted atmosphere, bootloader and sept and found version 7 of tinfoil which seemed to work.
Will step through newer versions and see where it breaks.

Are you using these patches with Atmosphere?

You are missing the correct sig patches, so the installed title won't work.

Incompatibility issues will likely arise as new system versions are released over time. It's better to have the latest version, which auto-updates.

But the latest version has more "Incompatibility issues", since it purposely doesn't work with Hekate.

It works with Hekate. One just has to chainload fusee-primary, which is how it should have always been.

From the end user's point of view, there's functionally no difference between using Hekate to boot Atmosphere per something like the now defunct Kosmos, or setting up Hekate to chainload fusee-primary.
In other words, you can still use Hekate to boot Atmosphere.

There is. Hekate can force emuNAND so that you never boot sysNAND CFW by accident.

You can accomplish the same thing chainloading fusee-primary.
If you wish to continue this conversation, send me a PM. I don't want to derail the thread.

Thank you.
I had got to the point where using the hakate payload I was able to use goldeaf to install fairly new stuff ok.
Using your suggestion I changed the atmosphere patches and booted using fusee and tinfoil installed and got me to the Tinfoil red warning screen.
What are people doing? I want the easiest way to install from the internet. Are people sticking with tinfoil or switching to something else?

The easiest way to install games backups, updates, and DLC easily over the internet from the Switch itself is to use HBG or something like it. HBG and the alternatives all use blawar's Tinfoil, which requires you to use fusee-primary as your bootloader (which is recommended anyway) if you're going to use Atmosphere.
If you're receiving the warning about Kosmos/Hekate, remove those files from your SD card, and continue to boot Atmosphere using fusee-primary instead.

Removed Kosmos and Hekate and installed the HBG version of tinfoil. Looks like it's all working great. Thank you.
